kopete error

mornin all... I am new here and have been trying all day to get my kopete to work right. I am using SuSE 9.0 and have installed it. I then did all updates that I need to. I log on fine but when I open a new message I have a problem. A very strange problem. the new message window opens and I type... only letters (test) with no spaces.... and "Click" send it will send just fine.... then I get a reply.... but then I type a new message and use a space.... and as soon I as I hit a space kopete closes and segfualts. I have updated my kde core libraries with SuSEs online update. and I get the same probelm... I can type only letters in the message box... if I use a space or press the "Enter" key it segfaults. I did not compile it since it is in SuSE... I assumed it would work. here are a few of the errors that I am getting:

kdecore (KLibLoader): WARNING: KLibrary: /opt/kde3/lib/libkdecore.so.4: undefined symbol: PKCS7_content_frs
kdecore (KLibLoader): WARNING: KLibrary: /opt/kde3/lib/libkdecore.so.4: undefined symbol: OpenSSL_add_all_s_conf
QGArray::find: Index 0 out of range
kdecore (KAction: WARNING: KActionCollection::KActionCollection( QObject *parent, cont char *name, KInst tance )

... well that is most of the errors. Thanks much for any help. If you need more information please let me know. PS you can try my ICQ . since I have defaulted back to micq I may be there when I am online.

or my e-mail if you want somethin else.

Thanks again,
Sobbie
