Starting Firebird and Thunderbird in KDE 3.1

What is the best way to start Firebird/Thunderbird in KDE? At the mo I have a link to mozillafirebird.sh (or thunderbird.sh) on the desktop that i click and it runs fine but I am not sure (big newbie) if this is the ideal way.

I also can't add a working Firebird/Thinderbird link to the KDE panel or menu, i've tried dragging and droping the same link from the desktop but when i click it on the panel (or menu) i get an error :?

I have desktop icons linked to the executables of both programs and I'm perfectly satisfied with that setup. :)

Sorted!

I figured it all out. I have a lovely panel icon and menu icon for both, just wasn't using the right path  we live and learn...
