Konqueror and Netscape webmail

I'm using KDE3.1 in MDK9.1 and RH9. When I try to login to Netscape webmail, the authentication process seems to get stuck in a loop. Sometimes it will finally stop and inform me that an error has occured. Other times, it will just keep looping until I finally stop it. Opening the same account in Mozilla works like a charm. Since I use Konqueror for all of my other web browsing, I'd like to be able to use it for my webmail account as well.

Any ideas?

Thanks.

John

I won't be of much help, but I've found that Netscape webmail has been problematic with Konqueror off and on since day one. I've generally given up on Netscape webmail because of it. I've found that Yahoo! Mail has worked with Konqueror reasonably well since the beginning.

Well, I just tried KDE 3.2 beta 1, and it still doesn't work. I'm not going to blame Netscape for this, as every other browser I've tried works with it.

I tried to submit a bug report to see if someone vould fix it. I found that numerous people have reported the bug, and the reports are all either "CLOSED" or "RESOLVED". SInce the code I'm using is from Oct. 30th, I'd say that it is far from fixed.

I wish they would get it working, because I hate having to use multiple browsers when 1 should be enough.

perhaps you should try changing your browser identification.

another option is to use another browser such as Mozilla or Mozilla Firebird.
