Losing Desktop when running kPPP

Whenever I run kPPP I lose use of the Desktop until I shut it down. I still have the image, I just don't have the icons. If it's related I launch from an icon on the desktop and when I launched from an icon on the panel and it locked up also.

try pon it is a command line dialup . It is a good dialup program to have if you happen to run into problems like this. it will help you get on line. If your GUI program "kppp" dies or locks up your system. below is a link of programs that will help.

I started launching kPPP from the menu on the panel and have no trouble now. I guess I'll start launching it from there. I just wanted a one-click launch instead of click-drag-click, oh well.
