desktop sharing on redhat 9

when i go to system settings >> desktop sharind it says: Cannot find KInetD. Have you restarted KDE after installation?

and if i go to internet >> Remote desktop sharind and then go to browze then i get:
Browsing the network is not possible. You probably did not install SLP support correctly.
eney ony know what is going on??

I get the same thing too. Figuring it was just because I didn't have OpenSLP installed, I went and got it (www.openslp.org), but I still get the same error.

Searching google, it appears the same error happens on slackware and mandrake, and according to bugzilla for mandrake, the problem was solved by removing the browse button. :)

So now, I haven't the slightest how to get it to work. Anyone?

load kdenetwork-devel

Try loading kdenetwork-devel package. Works fine for me now.
