Zaurus pda sync to kde/linux

Hey guys. I currently use a Palm but it is starting to show its age and not behaving itself anymore so I think that it is time to consider a replacement. Currently I use kpilot to sync with korganizer etc (or jpilot if its a gnome day) and these work just fine of course.

I was thinking about the Sharp Zaurus after taking a look at a friends here at work, looks pretty neat and runs my fav os. I use Linux exclusively at work and at home so need to be able to sync it up (pref with kde apps), I have heard that Troll Tech have some sort of syncing software but know little more than that, I have heard that its flakey at the best of times. Has anyone any experience with this? What do you lot use? Should I just get another PalmOS device?

I never got it to install, but that was when I first got Linux working, and knew nothing about installing programs on Linux, but I haven't tried since, since I have all my music on a CF card and I change it rarely, and when I do, I use Keith's Windows machine. As for the Zaurus, I recommend it, but I regret not having waited and buying it at the LinuxWorld Expo when I was like almost 50% off. Grr....

Hi Kenneth

50% off, yup thats gonna hurt! I think that I will have to be rather conservative and go for another PalmOS pda, perhaps a sharp clie or something. Now I bet ya that the clie will not play ogg vorbis..... :(

Zaurus is the best

I think that the Zaurus is the best pda! Free software, great feeling and everywhere a shell!

I will buy a Zaurus soon because in germany the price is at the moment 360 euro! In 1 or a half month I will buy this great linux pda!

For the Zaurus it gives a great Plam emulator ;)

I'm still mad at not having waited. But I got a like a dozen free pens that can turn from ballpoint pens to styluses. Anyways, does anyone know how to get the software from Troll Tech to work?
