What graphics program?

I am starting to do some themesets for my computer (KDE 3.2 and 3.3 beta) and need to know what programs do you use?

I have the gimp and defualt programs but I want to do the crystal type ones and the Gimp (as far as I know) just doesn't cut it. I am also looking for some tutorials on making themesets and icon sets. Thanks in advance.
Despite some assumptions I am actually a Fedora Geek!:lol:
I am art of the KDE and Gnome artists, web developers and programmers. (well nearly! :lol:)

I use Inkscape or SodiPodi For Icons
