How to make animated GIFs

I'm working with Mandrake Linux 10.0, and I need to know how to make animated .gif files, because I'm designing a website and need to make animation and phot slideshows. If anyone can tell me how, then thanks in advance...

You never know just what KDE means to oyu until you have to use a Linux computer that doesn't have it.

Try Gimp since it allows you to save animated gif. Read http://jimmy.qmuc.ac.uk/webtools/gimpanim.shtml

You can also try Gifsicle but that is only a command line tool.

Hmmm I tried GIMP with that website you provided, but it's not letting me paste the image into GIMP. Konqueror, Mozilla, and Epiphany have no 'copy image' option that I could see, so I could only try this with Opera, and even then I could paste into OpenOffice, so I know that the copy function is working.

GIMP does not have a tight itegration with KDE but you can try to drag the image from Konq to GIMP.

You can always save the image to disk and open it with GIMP :-)
