Maybe read a manual.

I think that its possible to add in k3b a cdrecord option. Checkout this.

When you have enough free time wirte an k3b addon/mod or/and contact the k3b developers.

DVD Burning GUI

I was able to burn DVD by using either the dvdrecord command line utility, or by using XCDRoast after installing the dvdrecord.. I would do a search on Google to see where the Xcdroast sight is, and check to see what version of the GUI you need to do this.. It's works great!

k3b should have dvd burning soon. Check the roadmap page:
http://k3b.sourceforge.net/index.php?menu_=roadmap.html

It's already implemented in k3b cvs.

Hopefully they'll make release soon, I'm tired of booting to windows just to burn some dvds. I know it's possible to burn in linux but I don't have time to mess with the cmdline tools :)
