KDE Bootup sound for Windows
I recently installed KDE over Mandrake 9 and dual booted it with WinXP. After formatting, I only installed Windows XP, but I really like the KDE bootup sound. Is there any place that I can get that sound clip in a Windows format? Thanks.
What is a windows sound format? And the KDE sounds are WAV files.
wave (.wav) is the native audio format in windows. Perhaps you should take a look at some of the source tar's, e.g. kdemultimedia, which might have these sounds? I am just guessing here...

They're probably converted to ogg by now. You'd need to convert them to .wav or another "standard" windows format to use as a windows startup sound.
In KDE 3.1.4, there are still as WAV and installed. So you do not need to get any source.
Have a nice day!
