Konqueror and Flash

Hi,
I just know this must have been asked lots of times but If searched and found nothing.

Some flash sites (www.shrek.com) for example display very small. The window opens at the correct size but then the movie itself only uses a small part of it.

I was using Konqueror 2.2.2 but last night upgraded KDE to 3.1.
Am using Debian Woody and used the debs on kde.org for the upgrade.

If there is a solution to this I'd love to know it.

Again, sorry if this has been asked many time before

Well, I think the flashplayer determines the size of the flashanimation. The browser has usually no way to resize it.

How did you get into the shrek site anyway, it tells me I haven't install flash 5 plugin, while displaying a flashanimation

The player says it is flash player 6, stupid plugin check

Thanks for the reply.

I just changed Konq's id. This site seems to determine if flash is installed by looking at the browser and OS id (very poor).
You would think it would be the Flash plugin that determines the size of the movie, but this site plays fine with Mozilla. Other site that are ok in Moz play smaller in Konq (shrek site is the worst). I don't really like Moz and would like to use Konqueror for everything, so if there is a solution, I'd love to know it.

I had to enable JavaScript then it played the intro.

Is the intro the animation which is too small for you?
I got a window at least 1280x1024 big, almost covered my 1400x1050 display.

Konqueror 3.1.2 here

Thanks for trying.

I should have said the the intro was fine. When the intro is finished the the actual site takes over the window that the intro opened. I have the same res as yourself and just end up with a large black square with the sound of the site (woodland sounds). The actual graphics seem to be consigned to the top of the window and are about one pixel in height.

Ah, first I thought there is something wrong, because I couldn't see anything but a black background after the intro.

But then I tried to resize the window using the mouse, first making it smaller, then wider again.
Guess what, the flash movie resized itself to full window size.

Could be a bug in Konqueror, you could file a bug report on bugs.kde.org

Cheers for that.
At least now I know there a work around. I did try something like that, but I did it on the veritacal  (vertical) (bottom to top and back again) but that had no effect.
I will log this as a possible bug, as I have seen this on a number of sites.

Thanks again.
