How do I add more fonts to Konsole?

Hello friends,

The fonts available in KDE Konsole are okay, but not satisfactory. I would like to add Tahoma, Verdana and Arial to the collection of available Konsole fonts. Strangely enough, I do have these fonts installed on my system wide settings, but they don't seem to have any effect in Konsole.

I would like to know how I can add the above-mentioned fonts to the collection of fonts already available in Konsole. I've tried everything I think I can, but to no avail. Your assistance and advice is truly appreciated.

Thanks

The fonts you see in Konsole are the fixed width fonts (like courier). Arial, Verdana and the other fonts you mentioned are variable width fonts. They will look rather horrible when you use, for instance, Midnight Commander. You might be able to get the fonts to show, if you modify your font-server configuration files to fool X into thinking Arial and the others are monospace/fixed width.

Thank You

Hello Shoikan,

Yes, I realised that a little late. I've settled with courier and I like it. :) Thanks for your help.
