Font installer doesn't start for user, but works for root.

When i try to open a font installer in control center as user it fails with an error:
[code:1]/usr//lib/libkfontinst.so.0: undefined symbol: FTC_Manager_LookupFace[/code:1]
But if i run control center as root it works fine. What's wrong, i need to fix it...

Which version of KDE are you using, and how did you install it? I've used three versions of KDE in the last several months - 3.1.5, 3.3.1 and 3.3.1 - and the font installer has worked for regular users in all of them.
