configure problems building kde 3.3.1

hello world!

i've been building kde 3.3.1 and i kept running in to warnings when executing configure.

it's always stuff like
configure: WARNING: linux/tcp.h: found but cannot be compiled.

it also says
tcp.h checking usability ... no
tcp.h presense ...yes

back when compiling kdelibs and base i could make these warnings go away by installing dependencies, running ldconfig, reating some symlinks

but this time i'm in trouble. i get the same warning for if_ppp.h

these files all do exist and i did compile my kernel with neworking :-)

what can i do? i think its unwise to compile kdenetwork without tcp.h

thx in advance

quinn

-----update----
in the past i had a few problems, because i use the 2.6 series kernel. i downgraded to 2.4 but the warnigns remain.

i have upgraded most parts of my system. am i missing a package that is required for use of tcp.h?

30 views and no reply. i guess that's a rare problem.

i did not solve it. i just compiled kdenetwork with these warnings and it seems to work fine. there were no errors during compilation.
