after installation problem

when I install kde 3.3 from source, i have a problem with kde apps.
at example:
[root@localhost knifty-0.4.2]# ./configure --prerfix=/opt/kde3
....
checking if UIC has KDE plugins available... no
configure: error: you need to install kdelibs first.
[root@localhost knifty-0.4.2]#
I use Mandrake 10
this error in all kde apps
How correct?
I use linux 3 year

Re: after installation problem

Quoted

Original von aivs

[root@localhost knifty-0.4.2]# ./configure --prerfix=/opt/kde3

Did you copy this from the command line where you issued that command? There is a typo: Try --prefix instead of --prerfix ;-)

Just out of curiosity, you have installed kdelibs right?
-- rm -fr /etc/whitehouse
-- Gentoo | udev | Xorg 6.8.2 | 2.6.14-r4 | KDE 3.5.0

Yes you have to install kdelibs and kdelibs-devel.

Also, if i remember correctly, Mandrake uses the /usr prefix, not /opt/kde3.

You can check this by running

kde-config --prefix
