Menu editor won't show submenu "Office"

Having some trouble with the K menu in KDE 3.2.1 (on SuSE 9.1)

After a regular reboot, almost all the icons in my "Office" sub menu were duplicated (occured twice). Not all of them were, but most. So I thought I'd fix it by using the Menu Editor (v0.5), but it won't expand the Office sub menu. So I deleted the sub menu and built it up manually, but I get the same problem; Menu Editor refuses to expand the Office sub menu in Menu Editor. I'd really like my working K menu back.
