CDPlayer Problems When Opening Konqueror For Local Browsing

If I am playing a CD and then click on my desktop home icon to browse for something, Konqueror immediately opens the services option on the navigation panel bar, this inturn accesses the playing cdrom causing it to stop playing, I can only resume it by killing it and restarting the cdplayer. Can i configure the navigtion panle to automatically open the root folder option as (a) this is what I want and (b) it doesn't cause the cdpalyer to stop. I have looked through the forums but cannot see a similar problem.

I'm using Slackware current with KDE 3.22

Regards and Thanks
