Kicker start menu icon size

Yesterday I installed SuSE 9.1 for a friend on his computer. Funny thing is that the start menu appears much bigger than on my laptop. I believe this is due to bigger icons in the menu.
Changing the size of the icons on the panel works fine (via context menu of the panel), but it doesn't influence the size in the start menu of the panel. How can I make those icons in the start menu smaller?
I'd like to have them like on the screenshot on http://www.kde.org/screenshots/images/3.2/snapshot02.png
