Being a relative newbie to Linux, I need some help, but I think this has probably happened to someone else, but I'm just to lazy to look through all the other posts to find out.
Upon trying to compile 'kdegames' (downloaded from CVS) I found that I had to also download qt and arts and kdelibs (no doubt thanks to a dubious redhat installation), after numerous compilations to get things right I have hit a brick wall. I have installed the libraries from a different location due to disk limitations, but have linked it back through to '/usr/local/' and other locations so that it all compiles right.
My problem is thus:
checking for KDE... libraries /usr/lib, headers /usr/local/kde/include
checking if UIC has KDE plugins available... no
configure: error: you need to install kdelibs first.
And thus I have done - alot of times.
Please someone help me before I go insane(:twisted
and download the libraries again(Which on dialup is not a pretty sight)
