3D Acceleration.

Hello all!
I have some problems with my Kde 3.1. To start with I will say that I've installed new nvidia drivers for my video card. The point is that I still cant chcecked on the option "Enable Hardware 3D Accleration" in advanced display options. And because of that a can't play my fovourite ET on linux, and I am made play on Windows.....:(.

Well first of all do you know whether 3D acceleration is really working? Open a console and type "glxgears" to find out, if the output is something like 2000 fps or close, it's working, if it's like 400fps, it's not.

If it isn't working, I suggest going to www.linuxquestions.org and doing a search for nvidia, there's loads of info there.

Otherwise, I can't help you 'cos 3d acc. doesn't work on my pc cos my chipset isn't fully supported (yet) :-(
