UTF-8 international characters in file names

How do I get international UTF-8 characters (é, etc) to show up in filenames in KDE? Right now, a file called "cliché.txt" shows up in Konqueror as "cliche.txt". Note that the accent is missing. If I look at the filename via a terminal, or using Gnome's Nautilus, the accent is displayed.

Try to change the value in "Settings->Configure Konqueror->Fonts->Default Encoding". By default it uses "Use Language Encoding"
