dependency problem! fedora core1, lm_sensor.so.2 & kde 3

Hello everyone,

I'm not totally new to linux, but getting stumped on this one. I have a Fedora Core 1 box that is fully updated and running 2..4.22-1.2174ntpl kernel. When trying to update KDE to 3.2.1 using Fedora rpms from kde.org, I keep getting dependcy problem "kdebase needs lm_sensors.so.2"'....... Ok so I've google hunted, found on freshrpms.net and other places lm_sensors package and currently have 2.8.5-0_23.rhfc1.at rpm installed. Tried older versions as well...Still have dependency problem when trying to install. Checked my kernel config settings, looks like lm_sensors is configured as a module and started...Just really getting interested in the kernel after 4yrs on and off using linux...Anyhoot, lm_sensors not listed a service in sys-V-init or FC 1 service progam. I have been able to install kde 3.2.1 using --nodeps, but don't like fact that now I can't use the KDE system guard, or anything that mainbaoard activity. Can someone help!! Can't use Synaptic to update anything cause says kdebase 3.2.1 is broken, can't find lm_sensors.so.2. I know I have it, unless i'm missing a library or devel rpm. Might anyone have a clue?

Thank you very much,

dependency problem! fedora core1, lm_sensor.so.2 & kde 3

Hello again,

Forgot to mention that so far, other than not being able to use KDE System Guard, everything else working pretty good so far, everything pretty snappy (minus JuK not playing mp3's, unless I access the /usr or /usr/bin, that's slow as a turtle!) 3.2.1 shaping up pretty well...

Hope that helps as well,
