KDE installation

I have been appointed as master of all things pertaining to our Redhat Linux box - no prior linux admin experience to speak of.
It appears that KDE is installed on the system since all users have .kde dirs and other files exists in system dirs.
How do I startup KDE? I can't find a konstruct or konsole file on the system (using locate and find as root).
What can I do to get started?

if you are running from a console, type "startx"
or if you are already at the login screen choose KDE from the session manager.

Thanks for the response.
However, I have finally figured out that the system booted at init level 3, which - if I understand correctly - does not start up any X windows.
Since we are at a crunch point at this time, I don't think I will be playing with the system for a couple of weeks.
Thanks again.
