Disable or resize Trash in KDE 3

Hi,
Is there any way of disabling the Trash or (seting a maximum size) in KDE 3?
Our users just fill their homedirs with "deleted" files that are stored in ~/Desktop/Trash.
thanks,
rafa

Perhaps it would be best to create a Cron job that deletes the contents of the trash can on a regular basis. I'm no expert on things like that, but it should be able to be done.

maybe you can configure trash to be on a partition with quotas.
