Problems with su

Hi to everyone. I'm currently using kde 3.1.1, and when I start any administration utility that requires the root password, the text box asking for it appears, but whenever I type the password on it, just tells me that the program SU isn't installed, and ask me to check my path. su is installed, like kdesu, and what realy disappoint me is that it worked ok until some time ago.
If anyone knows how to fix it, pleeaseee!! .. it really sucks to start manually such applications in a root konsole.
Thanks!!

did you try opening a new terminal and typing this:

host +localhost
su root
Password:********
COMMAND

the host +localhost will give root the ability to open windows. If su returns and says not found then it is not in your path you would need to set that.

Thanks,
Sobbie
