KDEPasswd in Slackware 9.0

First of all, Hi to the group, as it's my first post here.

Now on to my problem. I've recently rolled out some thin clients where I work, connected to a server running Slackware 9.0 and useing KDE. My only problem, is that my users can't change their password through the KDEPasswd utility. I've done a test on a stand alone system and found the same thing: it asks for your old password, and then for your new password twice, and then locks up.

There doesn't seem to be anything in the logs relating to this, and google hasn't shown anything either.

If anyone has an idea as to what I'm doing wrong, I'd really appreciate it.

TIA for your time

David
