The characters of files just be black and white in console!
eg. When I type : vi filename.cpp, the characters only can be showed with black and white.
Please help me with the problem!

When using the commandline, are the fonts still only black and white?

It seems that only when the command is 'ls' that the fonts are not black and white.

But the color in ls is used to distinguish between directories, files, scripts, executables, etc., right? There isn't need for color normally unless you set your own console color settings.

Go to Settings->Schema and select something from the drop down list.
(This all done from memory as I am not on my Linux box at the moment.)

Can you explicate your meaning?
"Settings->Schema" ? You mean in the console?
Thanks!

Sorry I didn't mean to be arrogant or ignorant I just got an obsession with the latest and the greatest. I have to always upgrade things and it is not always for the best as I’ve noticed but I keep trying anyway.
