Konqueror how to start editor with click

Dell 4500, mem 1g, disk 45g, mhz 2g, RH 8.0, Mysql-3.23.54a-linux-i686, PHP-4.30, httpd_2.0.44, Konqueror 3.0.3-13, 5/31/2003 7:37AM

When I click on a text file the file manager (Konqueror) starts a file viewer.
I would like to change this to start an editor (kwrite or kde-kwrite).

If this is allowed, what do I do to make this posssible?

Thanks

Then you can select which program will be used to open the file. You can also do this in the kontrolcenter ( under hmm KDE-Components???).

Konqueror how to start editor with click - example

dimitri -

Thanks for the tip, the actual sequence I used:

right click on text fileto be typed.
click on "Edit File Type", (the entry above properties)
then
click on "Embedding"
click on "Use settings for 'text' group"
click on "General"
in "application Preference order" click on "Add

This worked for the following hardware and os.
Dell 4500, mem 1g, disk 45g, mhz 2g, RH 8.0, Mysql-3.23.54a-linux-i686, PHP-4.30, httpd_2.0.44, Konqueror 3.0.3-13

Again Thanks
