How can I use $HOME/.Xauthority with KDE?

Hi out there,
I'm trying to get my KDE to work with my .Xauthority file. I'm using KDE3.1.1 on debian unstable. I've modified my /etc/kde3/kdm/Xservers and now the Xserver starts with "... -auth $HOME/.Xauthority -auth /var/lib/kdm/A:0-ibeevbe.". How can I get rid of the second -auth? Can I get rid of it at all or is it totally necessary for KDE to run?
Thanks in Advance
Basti
