mysterious behaviour of the bookmark bar in konqueror

hi,

i just want my bookmark bar in konqueror to stay in the same line as the address bar. Which it does in full screen mode. But watch it go crazy when i make the window smaller:



first, it takes a whole line for its own, which i _do_not_ want because it wastes space. second, well... where does all the empty space come from?

Is there a trick to place the bookmark bar on the same line as the main bar or the address bar - and having it STAYING there even if konqueror is not maximized?
