plasma-desktop process (CPU usage)

Hi All :)

Lately my CPU usage on Kubuntu OS with KDE 4 gone up to 40%. Mainly because of the plasma-desktop process run by logged in user. There is another plasma-desktop process owned by root which does not consume that amount of CUP %. I killed this plasma-desktop owned by user and nothing happened - so I'm wondering is there a need in my OS for this process? What's the difference between plasma-desktop owed by root and by logged in user? Is there any way not to autostart this plasma-desktop process owed by user?

Thanks,
ToM
