cant start kde as my user, only as root

heya!

i am a bit new with linux and i am stuck. i admitt that i messed up :)

i was logged on as my user and i tested to change style in the system settings. they all worked fine until i changed to a style called "GTK+"... then kde crashed and i couldnt restarted with my user, only as root.

so question is: how can i, as root, change the style a user has in kde? alternatively erase the kde settings of my user (hopefully just the style one, but more is ok).

i use slackware 13 and kde 4.2.4

thanks in advance...
