Update Notifier - Extra Multimedia Functionality

I recently installed a fresh Kubuntu 9.10 on my laptop. Update notifier is recommending the usual restricted packages for media codecs etc. Flash is one of the options. There are no details about version, which packages will be installed or other info.

I have already installed the Flash 64bit preview plugin manually from here:

http://labs.adobe.com/downloads/flashplayer10.html

(I'd rather use an open source / free flash player, but none of them are quite there yet)

My question is, which version of the flash plugin will be installed by update notifier? I'm assuming it is the 32bit wrapper version. Over the past 6 months or so, I have found the 64bit preview release to be much better (more stable, better performance) than the 32bit version. So, I don't want to install the recommended plugin if it is going to put the 32bit version on. Also, I'm a bit concerned about my friends who I have helped install Kubuntu 9.10 (with 64bit native flash manual install). I hope they don't end up installing the 32bit version also and it causes problems for them.

So, is the recommended flash plugin the 32bit or 64bit version? If it is the 64bit native plugin, it would be great to have it installed through the repositories.
