KWord table flow over multiple pages

http://www.koffice.org/kword/features.php assures me that I can create tables that flow over multiple pages, but I can't figure out how to set that up. My table (55 rows for example) flows onto a second page, but it has no break over the page margins and several rows are at various times hidden or compressed. As a raw beginner, I'm sure it's something I don't understand about frames or frame sets. I can't find an appropriate command under tables or frames. I appreciate any guidance.
