Connected to LAN but not to Internet

Hi



I just installed Kubuntu on a PC which on a LAN.

But Im unable to connect to the internet.

ping 192.168.1.* works but ping google.com returns unknown host.



I have this in my /etc/network/interfaces

I even went to Network Manager and added a new connection but didnt work. But Im guessing this should work automatically without adding a new connection.

But now in the status (taskbar) it shows Device:eth0 Status: Unmanaged

Doesnt Kubuntu auto-detect settings ?
