KDE4 on Mac: real project?

On mac.kde.org, they were saying that Mac OS X would be fully (or mostly) support in KDE 4.1. But I don't see any recent updates on that website.

Is OS X support for KDE4 a real thing? I'm eager to use it, but I don't want to waste my time if it's an abandoned sub-project.

Thanks,
Christian

It's not abandoned, but unfortunately while I hoped to get more people involved in the project, there are only a few folks working on KDE/Mac regularly, and those are mostly doing it for their own development, and not necessarily with releases in mind.

I've been crazy busy with work and other personal stuff, and haven't had time to devote to putting new packages together. It's on my (very long) TODO list, but unless other people are interested in helping out with the more official parts of making real releases, it seems everyone's waiting for me to find the time to do it. :(

On the other hand, there has been a push for automating packaging through CPack for Mac and Windows, so perhaps it will be easier to put the infrastructure together for packaging soon, so I'm not the single point of failure for it.

It's definitely not abandoned, but it is postponed until I have the time to do another packaging run, or more people jump in to help out. So far, the majority of the interest has been folks wanting to install it, but not many people really joining the community and helping find and fix bugs. ;)

Oh man... Now I really feel guilty.
