Kmai l + KDE4.1 : message body unseen

Hi!
I just installed KDE 4.1 and tried to look whether I am ready to move to a new Kontact. I fired up Kmail and it seem to import all my settings from KDE 3.5.9 but what I have found is that I can not see message bodies. All the folders, message list, and a message header are fine but no message body. It however happens only if a message is a plain text. If it's an HTML mail message, I can see it all with no problems.

I tried to wipe out kmailrc and the entire $HOME/.kde4 but it does not seem to matter. Can anyone suggest what might be wrong?
