Enhancement to the point of non-usability

This is one of the major problems in computer programming. A brillent groupe of programmers work together to produce a great program.. Now what are they supposed to do besides moniter their great accomplishment? Enhance and add functionality to it of cource. Can't leave well enough alone. The same thing happened when Qt-3 went to Qt-4

I have been using Kubuntu 8.04 and KDE-4 for some time and there a few things I like such as putting kwrite as the default instead of kate. The black panel looks better. That's about it for improvements. The rest of it looks like the result of a "make work" program

The menu system is usable, but not as convient as KDE 3. I use a lot of desktops. In KDE 3 I appreciated only having minimized items listed and the ability to list all the active items.

I hope this is a very early release of 4 and that the programmery step back an ask WHY change something that works great.

I have 2 computers, one with 3 and one with 4. I am writing a major graphics program. I do the same operation on each computer to better evaulate which one i will continue to use after 4 comen out.
Right now it is 3 hands down.
