Desktop Effects not working

Hi.
I've got an ATi mobility graphics card and I'm using gentoo and kde-4.1. I enabled composite support in my xorg.conf and installed all the packages that have the xcomposite use flag with that flag enabled, but turning on the desktop effects doesn't do anything. Is there maybe something else that needs to be turned on in the xorg.conf or that needs to be installed?

Desktop Effects not working

I've got the same problem. Although I run two screens.

I've found that that by disabling the one screen most of the effects work properly.

any help on making it work with both screens?

Hi, I thinks that it's depends on your driver. Is it fglrx (his package is ati-drivers) ?

I'm a radeon mobility x1400 with fglrx driver and I used this tutorial (wiki aiglx fglrx ).

Good Luck :)
