Location of / changing KDM Login Icon

I'm running Mandriva Spring 2008, KDE 3.5.x. I'd like to add some more icons to the "faces" choices in /usr/share/mdk/faces. I'm pretty sure this will work, but want to know if there are any bad side effects ("your system will turn green, scream, and die") or advice ("you should really create a whole new theme") before I go ahead with this.

You can just drop 'm there, no problem.
