KDE on CentOS displaying squares

I've just installed KDE on a CentOS 5 VPS which I bought. I installed VNC also so I could remotely view the desktop and it all worked except when I view it the desktop shows all the text as squares as if its in another language which is unsupported. Can anyone help me with this annoying problem? :)
