Plasma crashing

Hey guys. First-timer on the forums. Unfortunately, my first post has to be about a problem :(

In any case, I just did an update to KDE4 and now plasma won't load at all. It crashes and gives me an error. So I decided to run it from Konsole and see what sort of output I get.

serens@PC234:~$ plasma
<unknown program name>(6751)/ checkComposite: Plasma has an argb visual 0x624a60 73400321
<unknown program name>(6751)/ checkComposite: Plasma can use COMPOSITE for effects on 0x61cf80
Plasma crashed, attempting to automatically recover
plasma(6751): Communication problem with "plasma" , it probably crashed.
Error message was: "org.freedesktop.DBus.Error.NoReply" : " "Message did not receive a reply (timeout by message bus)" "

serens@PC234:~$ KCrash: crashing... crashRecursionCounter = 2
KCrash: Application Name = plasma path = <unknown> pid = 6752
sock_file=/home/serens/.kde4/socket-PC234/kdeinit4__0
<unknown program name>(6754)/ checkComposite: Plasma has an argb visual 0x624a60 73400321
<unknown program name>(6754)/ checkComposite: Plasma can use COMPOSITE for effects on 0x61cf80
plasma(6754): Communication problem with "plasma" , it probably crashed.
Error message was: "org.freedesktop.DBus.Error.NoReply" : " "Message did not receive a reply (timeout by message bus)" "

And a dialog box says:
A Fatal Error Occurred
The application Plasma Workspace (plasma) crashed and caused the signal 11 (SIGSEGV).
Please help us improve the software you use by filing a report at http://bugs.kde.org. Useful details include how to reproduce the error, documents that were loaded, etc.

Ideas? Thoughts? Queries? Cookies? I'm up for any of those.

Plasma crashing

Have just got th latest 29.7.2008 update to Kde 4.1 from Ubuntu and the desktop does not fully load giving the following:-
'The application Plasma Workspace (plasma) crashed and caused the signal 11 (SIGSEGV)'

Any suggestions or other 'update' previously mentioned that might fix this?

Removed /home/yourname/.kde4/share/config/plasma-appletsrc and restart with 'Ctrl Alt Backspace' and all seems well. ;)
