KDE settings are not saved on restart

I'm using KDE 4.1 Beta 2.

Whenever I restart the system, my keybindings are reverted to desktop. My plasma panel layout is saved, but all of the desktop widgits are gone. This doesn't appear to be a permission problem.. Does anyone know how to fix this?
