Is it possible to disable taskbar scrolling with mouse scroll?

Hi! Just joined this forum to ask if it is possible to disable the scrolling of running applications on the taskbar when using mouse scrolling? I'm using a laptop with a touchpad and I frequently move my finger to the bottom of the touchpad where a "scroller" is located that when trying to change app in the taskbar I also do a small scroll when lifting my finger off the pad. I cant find any options for this anywhere in KDE nor can I find any solutions using google for this problem. I find it strange that other people are not having this problem or then I am missing something.. I'm currently using KDE 3.5.9. I don't want to disable the "scrollers" from the touchpad since they are very handy when browsing the internet or reading long documents but this is really driving me crazy. Thank you for any advice you can give!
