Export to *.vcf in Kontact

Hello!

I'm trying hard to get my adress book into my cell phone.
To achieve this I'm using the "File->Export->Export vCard 2.1" in KDE-Kontact.

This would work perfect if there wouldn't be a newline after 76 characters. If I remove this unwanted linebreak the import in my phone works perfect. But now this breaks the whole procedure.

I do have a large number of contacts and I don't see a way to fix this with a script.

I observed exactly the same behaviour in Kontact version 1.2.4 and 1.2.9

Is there a setting to disable this behaviour or is this a bug?

Thanks for any hints to a solution!
Simon

example

Sorry... I hope I can clarify with an example:

The first two lines of my *.vcf should look like this:

Source code

1
2
3
BEGIN:VCARD
ADR;TYPE=work;CHARSET=UTF-8;ENCODING=QUOTED-PRINTABLE:;;Technoparkstr. 1;Z=C3=BCrich;;8005;
...
But unfortunately I do get this:

Source code

1
2
3
4
BEGIN:VCARD
ADR;TYPE=work;CHARSET=UTF-8;ENCODING=QUOTED-PRINTABLE:;;Technoparkstr. 1;Z=
C3=BCrich;;8005;
...

Simon,

If you read the vCard spec, section 2.1.3, you'll see that it's your phone that's wrong, not Kontact.

Cheers,
