kontact ain't kontactin'

Kontact stopped working a couple of weeks ago
in both 359 and 4

says "signal 11 (SIGSEGV)

I've removed and reinstalled, no joy

Have you run all the updates for your distro? Maybe there's a problem with a broken dependency. You don't mention, but when does it happen? When you launch the app, or, say, when you try to retrieve mail? Also, the command line output points to KDE Core, so I'm not surprised that removing and reinstalling Kontact did nothing. You might have to reinstall KDE itself.
In retrospect, everything is funny.
