Context menu "Safely Remove"

Trouble is that most usb devices, (pen drives, Compact Flash, SD media, etc.) do not need to be ejected and yet the 'Safely Remove' context menu pops up an annoying warning message telling the user that 'the device was successfully unmounted, but cvould not be ejected'. Most annoying this.
Now I understand that KIO_MEDIA_MOUNTHELPER has an option that can be passed to it (-s) to unmount and eject, and I suspect that this option is being passed in by the 'safely remove' context menu, can anyone confirm this, and if it is then how the heck can the context menu be changed?
