Prevent dolphin (KDE 4) from showing GMT time

In the dolphin File manager of KDE 4 (Ubuntu) in details mode, the time (Date column) shown is GMT time (+7 hours of PDT) e.g "2008-03-21 11:29 am" when it is actually "2008-03-20 4:29pm" on the west coast of the US. The local time is being displayed properly everywhere else within KDE, as well as when doing an "ls -l" from command prompt. I have looked everywhere I can think of to change this: the "View->Adjust View" Properties, and "Settings -> Configure Dolphin", as well as the "Settings" subfolder off the KDE4 start menu.

I'm sure this must be easy to fix, but I can't find anything under google (possibly because a lot of pages inadvertently have "gmt" in their text).

Does anyone know how to fix this?
