no video if composite enabled

Hi,

I'm using kde 3.5.8 with debian testing, and have found what I think is a bug. If I enable composite in my xorg.conf, and then enable translucency in the windows behavior section of kde's control center, video doesn't work in kmplayer, kaffeine, noatun, or any other player; audio works fine in the players. If I disable translucency/shadows, video works. Has anyone else encountered this?
