Changes in Configurations wont be saved! Help!

Hi there!
i am running kubuntu(gutsy) and yesterday i installed the kde4-core package.
i can select it in the session manager and it seems to work properly.
but little by little i find more strange things.
many changes i make, wont be saved, for example:
-change of on-click to double-click to start applications
-change of the view properties in dolphin
no changes are really changed, what can be the reason?
i hope you can help me.

PS: no such problems under kde3
